Chuck Dawson

Charles “Chuck” Roy Dawson, age 59 of Warren, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. He was born September 22, 1962, in Freeport, IL, the son of Donald and June (Downs) Dawson.  He graduated with the Class of 1981 from Warren High School. He went on to marry Jeannie Huber on July 18, 1986 in Galena, IL. He had a lifelong passion for tractor pulling and farming. He also spent endless hours in the garage tinkering with Billy. Chuck worked for Kenny Williams Farms for over 20 years. Since 2015 he has worked for Horsfield Construction Inc, of Epworth, IA.

Charles is survived by his wife Jeannie of Warren; son Logan Dawson of Warren; daughter Lynnea (Calvin) Gahm of Warren; granddaughter Emma Gahm; brothers Dennis (Vicki) and Steve (Jackie) both of Warren; nieces and nephews- Celeste (Barry) Hodge, Corky (Jennifer) Dawson, Dylan Dawson, Alicia (Dusty) Sigafus, Andy Dawson; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Bartell Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the United Methodist Church in Warren.

Officiating will be Pastor Roger Bronkema.

Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in his name.
